The family of Gustav Eichelberger came to sumiswald in the mid of 18th Century. They name “Eichel' &“Berger" comes form “Acorn (From Oaks)" and “Mountains". They became a influential and important family of Sumiswald and soon after, they built their home in 1768.

Gustav Eichelberger started his first watch manufacturing workshop with his friend Reinhold Allemann in 1952. Gustav led the watch assembling team while Reinhold responsible for the administration and finances issues, After 3 years of collaboration, Gustav decided to run the entire manufacturing business by his own.
